Material
PA46 High-temperature Nylon
PA46 High-temperature Nylon is selected from its stiffness, recovery, wear, wet-service, chemical, and temperature behavior. Material name alone is not enough to set stiffness; we also need filament diameter, free trim, density, grade, and working conditions.

Material Overview
PA46 High-temperature Nylon is a high-temperature polyamide filament used as brush fill or a cleaning-contact element.
In a finished brush, PA46 High-temperature Nylon does not create a fixed stiffness by itself. The final contact depends on filament diameter, free trim, density, tuft pattern, and interference; moisture, heat, and chemicals can change the response.
Material Properties
| Filament diameter | 0.10–1.50 mm; straight or crimped |
|---|---|
| Temperature range | -30–150°C continuous brush service; short exposure to 180°C |
| Stiffness | Firm; higher dry-temperature stiffness than PA6/PA66 |
Brush Applications
For PA46 High-temperature Nylon, directly related brush structures include Handheld Detail Brushes, Tube & Pipe Bore Brushes, Roller and Conveyor Brushes, and Polishing Buffing Wheels. Applications related to PA46 High-temperature Nylon include Industrial Machine Cleaning, Dust Removal, Brick, Tile & Building Material Machine Brush Use, and Laboratory Tube Cleaning.
